Hot Stuff!

I had so much FUN with these two lovebirds. Here is a teaser of my time with them. I did my first attempt of a vintage wash on this photo. O really like it in black and white too! Can't wait until I can learn photoshop and really do some damage =) By the way aren't they gonna have some seriously cute kids!

Well since there were only 4 people who entered the blogoversary candy give away by the posted time I was going to just roll a dice and photograph the fun event. However I have discovered that I own no dice. So I went to the good ol stand by random.org and asked it to generate a random integer between 1 & 4 and here's what the result was:

Easter Pageant

We went out to Mesa last night for the Easter Pageant - Jesus the Christ. It is an annual pageant depicting the life of Jesus and his ministry. The show is beautiful, held outside in the gorgeous AZ spring weather (it was in the 80's yesterday) and the music is moving. We always bring out a little dinner kick back with our feet in the grass and enjoy a little together time waiting for the show time to roll around. Last night we met up with our good friends Amie & Danny and their children for the fun and had a great time as usual!

Here are a few shots of the pageant.

Adam & Eve

Christ teaching in the Temple as a child.

John the Baptist.

Christ gathering his disciples (look how amazing Christ's image is in the picture).
Bestowing the Priesthood power to his Apostles.

Christ healing the sick.

In the Garden of Gethsemane.
Christ being condemned to crucifixion.
The ascension of Christ after his Resurrection.
The night was wonderful and we really enjoyed the Spirit we were able to feel. If you are in AZ the two weeks prior to Easter I enjourage you to stop by the Temple grounds and enjoy the free show. And if you have any questions or interests in Jesus or my beliefs please feel free to go check this out.

I owe, I owe so off to..............

work I go. Yes daily I spend hours upon hours sitting here at my desk, which is where I check most of my blogs daily while on breaks or my lunch. So I thought it was only fitting to share with ya'll where I spend most of my day and the few faces I love to see at work. So here we go.
This is is my life; files, files, files. I spend 8 hours a day looking for, editing, updating & processing legal files. Each of these files contains the police report, victim information, case notes, criminal history and discovery for the case. These bad boys are on most days the bane of my existence.
Here's Tiffany, she's a sweetie with a wicked sense of humor. She's also one of the strongest women I've met; single mom to a totally awesome 4 year old (you've seen them on my photoblog) and she is graduating soon with two degrees! She's also one of the most level headed person I've ever met!
This is my boss' office. Believe it or not this is tidy and only about 3 days worth of work is really represented here!
Ok now here's my little land. This is my happy faced guy who makes me smile when the crazy mean people at my job make me mad.

On Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday when I look to my left I see Stacy. She rocks! Stacy is 24 and a powerhouse for sure. She is graduating in May with her Masters in Criminal Justice. Stacy is a Victim's Advocate and she does such a great job with the people. She worked at the County for quite a while too so she really knows her stuff. Stacy is also crafty and a scrapbooker! We get a long so well
And this is my little world.

To the left, yes all that paper is mine. Yikes!

Here's more of my files!

And here is my girl Nichole. She is the nicest person on the block. Nichole works circles around everyone in the office. She's always early and works 8 solid hours, no excuses! She has a 12 year old and a 10 month old that are so beautiful, I get to photograph them next month! Oh and her hubby was just recently laid off and needs a job if any of you know of any jobs out there he has years of management experience and works as hard as his wife.
Thanks for joining me on my little tour of my work. Now in honor of this being my blogoversary share with me in the comment section your favorite job ever and why and you'll be entered in a happy little blog candy drawing. You have until Thursday midnight to enter (PST) and the winner (by random drawing) will be announced On Saturday - Good Luck!

Scrippy Scrappy - Hap Hap Happy

Here are a few of my latest scrappy projects. These have been done over the last month at two different crops. Enjoy.

On this LO I scraped the lyrics of one of my favorite songs with a recent photo of the hubs.

Here's our puppy girl with her Christmas present. I need a title for this one. Any ideas?

This was New Years 05 in Disneyland. Any suggestions on a title for this one too?

DJ & I as Bella & Edward at the Trunk or Treat =)

My Asher kitty. I still need to add my journaling on this page.

You can't see it but I added blue bling to the flowers (my favorite LO)

Oh how I love the layers. This is my lovely SIL & her hubs my BIL.

And a fun night of Smores with friends. I wasn't sure about this LO, but it's growing on me.

Weekend in review and an update

We had a great weekend, hands down just what I needed after the crappy week I had. I was so burnt out about life and horrible spiteful people by the end of the week. It was so wonderful to unwind.
Friday night we met up with my girlfriends Heather and Carrie and their hubby's to head out to Oregano's downtown Phoenix for some seriously good eats. We all drove out there together and got to talk and hang out which was so wonderful. I really miss talking to people who have my perspective on life, who truly care about my answer to their "how are you question" and who like me just the way I am. So I was just fine when we arrived and had to wait an hour to be seated. Let me tell you this food is worth the wait! I have not had one thing on the menu that I didn't love. And if you are a fan of chicken wings you have to try their oven baked wings with the medium gold sauce (it's not on the menu, you have to ask for it by name). We had a great time talking and I came home so relaxed.

Saturday DJ got up and helped a friend of ours pack up her house and get ready to move back east this week. I slept in and lazied around the house. When I got up I puttered around the yard and dyed my hair and edited some photos and then just enjoyed some time with my hunny......sigh I love doing that.

Sunday we went to church and I got to enjoy one of my favorite couples in this whole wide world give talks. Amie and Danny rocked their talks. I really enjoyed the message they brought and my girl shared part of one of my favorite hymns accapella, gave me goosebumps! I loved the enthusiasm Danny had in his voice during his talks. I have been so blessed to have their friendship in my life. I have a great group of friends and I know that without question any of them would help me at the drop of a hat. But I know when I call Amie I get 100% honest hands down shirt off her back last can of tomato soup friendship. Love ya girl.
Then we went over to Heather and Dave's for Sunday dinner. DJ and I made some super yummy mac n cheese. We had a great time hanging with the kids and stayed to watch Baptists at our BBQ. It was so much fun, DJ and I felt like we were teenagers again. It was a great day.

Monday I got to meet up with one of my girls, Jessa. She taught me while she was down here on her mission. She was able to come back down here with her parents to show them around. I was able to go out to dinner with the three of them and had a blast. Her parents were the sweetest most down to earth couple and I could see how much they love Jessa, just like me, so we all got along like peas and carrots. 3 hours flew right on by and I can't wait to go back up to Kaysville to stay with my new friends!

OK here is my update on my year of no fear. I figured I would tackle things as they presented themselves in my life, rather then making a list. So this past month has provided me with one of my biggest fears/problems that I have harbored the longest in my life. Therefore the next fear I've been working on is the too nice for my own good factor.
Way to many times I have worried about what people will think about me before I worried about how what they were doing to me actually made me feel. I have been given many reminders about how life is too short to let myself worry for one more day about people who don't care about me. So to the girl at my new job who's giving me the silent treatment because I didn't back down when she tried to intimidate me, I don't really care. If you want to expend all that energy on being mad go right on ahead and and make yourself mad everyday - I don't care anymore, I choose to be happy. And to the "friend" who chooses to judge and tear down my faults - I don't care anymore. Believe me I know that I have faults and that's why I'm thankful for the chance each day to make changes, repent and try again. I no longer care about making you happy by feeling bad. I choose to surround myself with people who love and support me, who really care about me and again I choose to be happy.

This may sound harsh and completely un-Christ like but I'm not refusing to turn the other cheek here I promise. I wish nothing but good to these people who have hurt me and given the opportunity I would give service to them and their families if they needed anything. However it's not healthy for me to spend so much time, energy and emotion feeling bad about other people's choices. So I have not backed down and I continue to be sincere when I see these people and say Hello, how are you or have a good day, I choose to be happy even if they choose not to be. Ah free agency my Heavenly Father's greatest gift. So to all my friends, with sincerity, I love you all, thank you for your support in my life and it's ya'll that make me happy!

The marble countertop was a raw edge that was going to be finished the next week. Well I was taking a bath, playing away and I wanted to get the soap on the vanity rather then the soap in the tub. So rather then get out of the tub and take the 2 steps to the sink I crawled over the toilet and went to grab the soap when my wet slippery little body slipped and my chin came down super hard on the counter’s edge right on the bone. I split a 2 inch cut right open and began screaming bloody murder. 4 hours later I had 28 stitches and a new no baths alone policy. My poor mom, she was super scared. I soaked 3 washcloths with blood before we even got to the ER!

Bad couple of weeks

Sorry there have been no posts, it's been a bad couple of weeks. I'll be back this weekend with a new photoshoot and some new posts. However in the mean time this made me laugh so I thought I would share.
